Manhole 318486 Overflow behind 2289 Tantalus Drive, OAHU

CWB was notified by the C&C of Honolulu of a sewer manhole overflow behind 2289 Tantalus Drive, Papakolea, Oahu (Hawaiian Homes Land). An estimated 3500 gallons entered into Kanaha Stream. Earlier, CWB and C&C received sewage odor complaints in the area and C&C crew located the ongoing overflow. Although it was not their responsibility, C&C crews cleared obstruction in line. Hawaiian Homes is responsible for their sewage system within Hawaiian Homes Lands. CWB will be following up with Hawaiian Homes. Public is advised to stay out of Kanaha Stream, warning signs will be posted.
