Sewage Discharge: 1717 Ala Wai Boulevard

CWB has been notified of a sewage discharge to the Ala Wai Canal from 1717 Ala Wai Boulevard, due to a cracked pipe. The spill was found on 1/26/2010 and reported to the City and County on 1/27/2010. Discharge is estimated at 20 gal/hr and enters the Ala Wai via a storm drain. Repairs are currently underway to stop the flow as soon as possible. Permanent warning signs already exist along the Ala Wai, however the City and County will be posting additional warning signs. Ala Wai Canal is not a recreational water, however the public is advised to stay out of the canal until the signs have been removed.
